Last race of the year….
This morning was the NYRR Ted Corbitt 15k, in Central Park. I got a PR 1:22:08, 8:50 pace. It was a little slower than I planned but then I did have conflicting goals this AM, I wanted to run home after the race, another 6 miles and I guess I went a little less than all out, but did the last 1.3 miles at 8:36 pace so negative mile at the end made me happy. I did manage to run an extra 2.3 miles from 103rd St to 59th. By then I was done, since I was damp and cold so too the Siler Limo (subway) home.
All showered, first round of feeding done now it’s nap time :) then more food ;)
It was a great racing year!

The journal of a 55 year old guy chronicling the road to qualify and run The Boston Marathon.
The date for qualifying has slipped some, but its going to happen. The journey has been interesting to say the least and fun.
