Surprise surprise
Today was a bit of a lazy day, presidents day, so no work. Finally dragged my butt to The gym at 12:30 I thought it was going to be one of those tough runs since I was dragging and thought I was going to be stiff and heavy legs too. But totally the opposite, a few minutes into the run, I felt strangely reinvigorated, I wasn’t going to go over board and just keep the run under control, haha, I was going to keep it around 9:30, instead I just kept knotching it down until I finished the 5 miles at about 8:20 for the last quarter. 46:50 for 5 miles nothing special, not bad considering the 17 miles over the previous 2 days.
Seems like all this training is paying off, I am feeling stronger….I easily could have done another few miles at that pace but, I have a few races in the next few weeks.
4 miler in Prospect Park Saturday then Coogan’s 5k in wahington heights next weekend….

I love that feeling, when you expect weakness and end up stronger!
